Obituary of Calvin Ervin Lively

C. Ervin Lively, age 79, Bedford, NS passed away at Halifax Infirmary on March 25, 2025 at 1:25 AM. He was born in Truro, NS on June 6, 1945 to the late Calvin and Kathleen (Kaye Dawson) Lively/ Beers.

He is survived by daughters, Melanie of Saint John, NB and Rain Colleen (Shelby) of Halifax, NS; grandchildren, Joshua and Felicity, both of Saint John, NB; former spouse, Cheryl (London) Lively; nieces, Faith and Heather Lively; sister-in-law, Lorita Lively; nephew, Jason Bright and neice, Coretta Bright. He was predeceased by his infant son; brother, Donald Lively and stepfather, Gerald Beers.

Ervin graduated from Bethany Bible College and served as a pastor on the Atlantic Wesleyan Church district for 13 years. And for several years he was a custodian at Cornerstone Wesleyan Church.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Maritime Cremation Centre. The Celebration Of Life will be held on Monday, March 31st from 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM at the Cornerstone Wesleyan Church, with Pastor Denn Guptill officiating, 1215 Hammonds Plains Rd., Hammond Plains, NS B4B 2E1; receiving line and light refreshments to follow. Interment will be held at a later date in Good Corner Cemetery, Rte. 550, Carleton Co., New Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Good Corner Cemetery, c/o Eddie Pryor, 3289 Rte. 550, Long Settlement, NB E7K 1R3.
