To the Hutchings family and their friends and family. Eric is my cousin through marriage but he treated me like a friend or a brother. He is one of the kindest, generous, thoughtful and funny people I have had the pleasure of knowing. My mother thought the absolute world of him. Eric, you will be sadly missed and the good times will not be forgotten. Rest in peace my good man. With our deepest sympathies and condolences, The Green Family. It is sad to hear of your dad’s passing. Eric could bring a smile to everyone’s face when he came into the room. He was always good for a hug whenever I saw him, even in moments when he couldn’t remember the name. He and your mom were such a great couple, They will be missed.

Eric was a sweet and kind person. He always made you feel like family, including our kids as they came along. Many dinners over the years. Cheryl and Eric were fun, interesting, kind and always cool. Eric could make you feel at ease and I think he could talk to anyone, so many wonderful memories of them both, our condolences to all

I am really sorry to hear about Eric's passing which I only found out aprox 30 minutes ago.
I grew up with Eric in Deer Lake. He lived very close to our home. I have nothing but fond memories of him. Two of his brothers were my teachers in junior high and they were also really nice people.
Eric and I both worked together at a gas station on the TCH near the Deer Lale Motel for a short period. I think it was the Gulf gas station. I remember that Eric got hired at EPA and at a later date I also got a job with EPA.
Eric was a really intelligent and super helpful person. He had a great personality and it was always an enjoyable experience to chat with him. We shared many meals of moose stew together that I often made for lunch at work.
My deepest condolences to Eric's children and all of his extended family members and friends. He will certainly be missed by all who knew him.

Terry, Alison, Greg, Jeremy, Alexander, Ruth, Eric's brothers and extended families,
It is with deep sadness that we are sending you our deepest sympathies on hearing of Eric's passing. We know that he was a wonderful dad, "Grampy" to Jeremy and Alexander, father-in-law to Greg and brother-in-law to Shane and Terry and loving to all of Cheryl's family. He welcomed us into his home and made us feel like family. We had many fun times on Penstock Court and at the Goldsworthy Shindigs on Lumberman Drive. I am sorry to hear of Eric's passing. He was a lovely, gentle man. I had the pleasure of knowing through our EPA days, I in Goose Bay. Would see him when passing through Halifax, he always with a smile and wave. Was Blessed to see him briefly last June at the Luncheon in Halifax.

Terry, Alison, Hutchings and Ball family,
