Obituary of Constance Faye Keefe

Constance “Connie” Faye (Russell ) Keefe

It is with heartfelt sadness that we, the family announce the passing of Constance at Cobequid Emergency Centre on Tuesday August 12, 2025 at the age of 67. Born in Halifax on March 19, 1958, Connie was the daughter of the late Bradford and Bernice (Richards) Russell.

Connie loved to travel and when her and Roger first met they had many adventures. First to the New England States and Martha's Vineyard in their 1981 Fiat Spider. Hawaii was their wedding destination, where they married in Maui in 2007. They also had many trips around all of the Atlantic Provinces,Cuba, Dominican Republic and Mexico during their 18 years of marriage. Connie loved spending time with her grand children and family especially during the holidays. Connie will always be remembered fondly by all her family and friends who loved her dearly along with her little dog Cooper. She will live in our hearts forever.   

Connie is survived by her husband Roger , son Evan Whalen (Sasha), daughter Erin Mullins (Andy), stepson Colin Keefe (Catherine) sister Jackie Burke (Terry), grandchildren, Thomas, Lilyanna, Gemma, Austin and Jason, great grand daughter Noelle. In addition to her parents Connie was predeceased by, sister, Nancy Cleversey; stepfather, Leo Goneau; stepsons, Kristopher and Ryan Keefe.

Cremation has taken place. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Benedict Parish, 45 Radcliffe Dr. Halifax, on September 2nd at 12:15pm, Father Issac Longworth officiating followed by a reception, all are welcome. A private burial will be held at a later date to fulfill Connie’s interment wishes.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made in Connie's name to any charities of choice.
