Obituary of Norma Cleveland Currie

Mom passed away peacefully on December 15, 2025, with her family by her side.  Born on October 20, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Aubrey and Mabel (Cruickshank) Kerrigan.

Norma was employed with the Municipality of Halifax (Tax Dept) for 35 years. Mom made many lifelong friends and her curiosity to travel led her to many countries. Once she retired, she resumed her other interests in knitting, yoga, gardening and our favourite, baking.  Her hands were never idle. We are so blessed for the many years and memories we have shared.

She is survived by daughters, Norma Jean (Brian) Dubé and Belinda Collier, both of Halifax and son, Leonard (Kate) Currie, Alberta; She also enjoyed her 5 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren who kept her very busy;  nieces and nephews in New Brunswick. Norma was predeceased by her brother, Wayne and Son in Law, Michael.

In keeping with Norma’s wishes, cremation has taken place, and a celebration of Norma's life will take place at a later date.  Charitable donations may be made to the Ostomy Association or a charity of choice.
