Obituary of Wade Wallace Wood

November 11, 1967 – December 31, 2025

It is with deeply heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Wade Wallace Wood, age 58, of Enfield, Nova Scotia. Born in Halifax, Wade was loved by so many.

Wade was predeceased by his father, Wallace Thomas Wood; his grandmothers, Laura Wood and Jean Kelly; his grandfathers, Allan George and Thomas Wallace Wood; his beloved nephew, Jordan Joseph Wood; his brother-in-law, Frankie Lerue; his aunt, Barbra Wilcox; and his stepfather, Richard Slaunwhite.

He is survived by his loving wife, soulmate, best friend of 36 years, Tracey Lee-Ann Cleveland Wood. Their bond was one of true companionship—together they shared everything in life, from long drives back Renfrew in Wade’s truck to camping trips at their favorite spot, Oasis. They were truly inseparable.

Wade was a devoted father to his son Kyle and his daughter Jessica, and a proud grandfather to Kyleigh, Dawson, and Declan, all of whom brought him immense joy. He is also survived by his mother, Patsy Slaunwhite, and his siblings Rod, Shelley, and Tammy.

Wade leaves behind many nieces and nephews who meant the world to him, including Justin, who was like a son to him, as well as Richard, Thomas, Alicia, Candace, and Crystal, along with many great-nieces and great-nephews. He will also be deeply missed by many loving friends, especially his lifelong friend Peter Cameron.

For over 41 years, Wade dedicated himself to the drywall trade. The knowledge he passed on to so many—especially his crew Kyle, Justin, Chris, and Alicia—cemented his reputation as a true drywall legend.

Above all else, Wade loved with all his heart. He cherished his wife, adored his children and grandchildren, and stood unwaveringly by those he cared about. His legacy lives on in the hearts of everyone who knew him.

A celebration of Wade’s life will be held at the Enfield Legion on February 15th, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Family and friends are invited to come together to share stories, laughter, and memories as we honor a man who meant so much to so many.

Wade will be forever loved, deeply missed, and never forgotten.
