Obituary of Johan Pete Van Den Boomen
Pete (Johan) Van Den Boomen.
Pete passed away on January 29, 2026 with his loving wife, Ineke by his side. Born August 18,1963 in Helmond, Netherlands. Pete started his career with the Dutch Navy and travelled the world except for Antarctica. In 1995 Pete and his best friend Guido took up long haul truck driving and Pete was fortunate enough to drive throughout Europe, Canada and the United States. He moved to Bedford, Nova Scotia in 2005 after the passing of his dog and trusty companion Juri. Making sure his dog was with him by getting Juri tattooed on his arm. In 2009 Pete purchased a home in Beaver Bank. He loved his music especially Rockabilly and make no mistake he knew every song and artist. One of Pete’s passions was riding his motorcycles. Not only was he King of the Road but also known as King of the Grill. Pete was quick to make many friends in Beaver Bank who enjoyed his company at parties and Trivia and the occasional visit to Bearly’s House of Blues. He was always the life of the party.
Pete is survived by his wife, Ineke; sisters, Tonneke (Walther), Marion and best friends Peggy and Guido.
There will be a celebration of life at the Beaver Bank Kinsac Lions Club on April 10th, 2026 at 7pm.
