Ileen Lively

Obituary of Ileen Anne Lively

March 27, 1937 – Feb 22, 2026

It is with deep sadness, my Sister and I announce the passing of our Mother, Ileen A Lively (Huntley) at the age of 88, in her home in Beaver Bank on Feb 22, 2026.  Ileen was born in Kinsac March 27, 1937, to Jack and Elizabeth Huntley. She lived and worked her life in Beaver Bank and Kinsac.

Ileen spent her adolescent years growing up in Kinsac followed with her teen years travelling via CN Day-Liner to Simpson Sears, working in accounting, meeting her best friend, Sylvia Woods. At 17, Ileen met her lifelong partner and love of her life, Darrell A. Lively while he was driving a gravel truck working on the Kinsac and Beaver Bank Roads. Ileen knew then they would be together forever. They married at 19 and 26 years of age and began a life together building their forever home and soon planning a family, where she then spent the following 10 years as a loving and caring wife and mother. Ileen returned to work in July of 1970 for Scotia Nursing Homes as an Occupational Therapy Director, then retiring in August 1995 after 25 years, helping so many people with personal handicaps.

With both retired, they began a new chapter together building a small ceramic business followed by a life they enjoyed so much together, buying and selling at yard sales, flea markets and craft shows, they were inseparable.

Besides her beloved Husband, Ileen was predeceased by her Parents, Jack and Elizabeth Huntley, Infant Daughter, Ann Elizabeth and Brother, James Huntley.

Surviving is her Son, David (Sonya) Lively, Daughter, Sandra Lively (Peter), Brother John Huntley, Sisters Penelope ‘Penny’ Lively, Margaret ‘Margie’ (Russ) Kramer, Grandchildren, Amanda (Emile) Gagnon, Stephanine (Brad) McLean, Tim (Melissa) Gower-Bond, Shya (Cassie) Bond. Great Grandchildren, Cody, Jamie, Myah, Jackson, Ryker, Roman and Great Great Grandchildren, Millie, Sonny and Kitt

Cremation has been entrusted to Maritime Cremation Center, Sackville.
