Dear Marjorie, Shannon and Findlay, we only recently heard of Peter’s passing. We are so sorry for your loss of this wonderful man. Paul and I got to know Peter when he used to travel for work in the 1980s. We shared many laughs at a cottage we were renting in Quebec and in Ottawa. Looking into his beautiful green eyes was like looking into a mirror. A Hilchie mirror. We will miss him. Love from. Jan Hilchie and Paul Charlton and family. Wakefield Quebec.

Marjorie,Shannon and Findlay,
I was sad to hear Peter had died. I had not see him for some time an didn’t realize he had become so sick. The last time I spoke to him he talked about his family and how proud he was of you all.
A sweet guy.
Take care Cathy

Dear Marjorie, Shannon and Findlay, we are so saddened to hear of Peter's passing, may he rest in peace. Peter was always a delight to be around with his quit wit and a laughable story every time we saw him. He was a pillar of the cat shows and if it weren't for Peter and your persuasion we would not have discovered the Tonkinese breed, and for that we are forever grateful. May God Bless and keep you all.

My deepest condolences on your loss Marjorie. So many times I laughed at Rick and Peter in the showhalls as they gabbed away, and you just couldn't find them when it was their turn to bring a cat to a ring! I remember one show in the U.S. when we were ringside whispering to Peter who had just brought a cat up for a final - "wrong cat Peter, wrong cat!". Peter was so fun to be around and a wonderful contributor to the cat fancy. You couldn't find a harder or more dedicated worker! His loss will be felt deeply....

This is such sad news. Peter was so much fun to hang around with back in the day. We always had a laugh or two and there was never a dull moment.
I was refereeing a Junior High Olympic Wrestling Tournament st Eastern Passage when low and behold, who is there but Peter, we had a great time rehashing old memories of our days at Sidney Stephen High as well as Waverley and Sackville.
My heartfelt felt condolences to you and your family and all effected by his passing.
May he rest in peace.

I will miss his laughter, his quick wit, and his generosity with his time when it came to helping out wherever he could. We will chat soon, you know I am only a phone call away at any time. May he sleep well until.you are all together once again. Hugs my friend.

Marjorie, Shannon and Findlay, David and I are so sorry to read that your dear Peter has passed away and when life becomes too difficult to remain on this earth, it is sometimes a blessing. Peter was very dear to us. We loved his joy of living, his kindness, love of his family and sense of humour. We are better for having had his friendship. It is only in knowing that the Good Lord had given us memories so we may have roses in December, that our memories, even bitter sweet can bring us such pleasure after we are able to smile without tears. Anything I can do Marjorie, be quick to ask. Sending all my love and warm thoughts as I know this is never easy. May Peter rest in peace, now that he is "in the arms of the angels". Sincerely, Eleanor
