I loved the conversation with George around the Glengarry Best Western reserved coffee table for the old timers. He was a true gentleman and will be sadly missed.

To the Barnhill family
I am a second cousin of George & his late Mother was a sister of my late Grandmother Barnhill (Louise Purdy). I visited their home often from the time I was a small girl & Aunt Alice was my favorite Aunt. I was born on George Birthday, 26 August. We enjoyed Lorraine as well. We will miss his visits at our cottage in Cape John during summer - he always visited us there and Vic at Hallidays for many years.
On behalf of our family we express our deepest sympathy. Keep in touch.
Love, Joan & Vic Yeadon

Dear Barnhill Family. So sorry to hear of George's passing. Always looked forward to chatting with him every summer at the beach. He was a very kind and generous man with a wonderful sense of humour. Amet Beach just won't be the same.

Sending condolences on behalf of my mom - Frances Wright - your mom and dad and my mom were friends when we all lived on 25th Street in Long Branch in the 60's. I believe George and I were in school together until mom and I moved to Dartmouth in 1974. Thinking of you all at this difficult time

We will miss George, as we missed Lorraine when she left our little community. He will be remembered as being "one of the good men". Our condolences to the family, especially his children.
