Stanley Adams

Obituary of Stanley William Adams

It is with profound sadness that Butch’s family announce his passing on February 21, 2021 at the QEII Health Sciences Centre; at the young-at-heart age of 76.

Butch was born in Halifax to the late Michael and Irene (Marks) Adams. He started out his sales career delivering for various local companies, eventually leading him to his career as “The Chip Man” for Hostess/Frito-Lay, until his retirement. With his endearing sense of humour, he made many life-long friends along the way. He was happiest when surrounded by friends and family, playing guitars by the fire and going on adventures. He had a deep love of cars; especially his pride and joy, the red ‘64 Ford Galaxie. He could be seen grinning ear-to-ear, cruising around in the big red beauty with his wife by his side. He was the life of every party and loved to make people laugh, which he did a lot! He was a kind and gentle soul who asked for nothing but gave everything he had. He loved his fur babies, as they were his own family.

He was married to the love of his life, Barbara (Campbell), for 54 years; loving father to his children, Leonard (Jennifer) and Gina (Paul DeMone); proud grandfather to Alison (Brandon), Danielle & Jessica. His family became perfectly complete with the addition of his great-granddaughter, Parker Joy “PJ”. He is also survived by his sisters, Patricia Oldfield, Sharon (John) McGuire and many nieces & nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Michael Jr.; sister, Gayle and his first-born granddaughter & best friend, Alexandra.

We would like to thank all the wonderful Health Care Professionals who took such extraordinary care of him during his illness. In lieu of flowers, he would love for you to consider a small donation to your local animal rescue group.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the Celebration of Butch's life will be held at a later date.
