Obituary of Margo Martina Delaney
Margo Martina Delaney (MacGillivray), 71, Maryvale Antigonish County slipped peacefully from this earth to take her place amongst the most brilliant of stars in the sky on May 28th, 2021.
Born in Dunmaglass, NS to the late Colin and Martha (MacDonald) MacGillivray. Margo raised her family in Maryvale Antigonish Co. where she resided until being lovingly cared for by her children, in Ketch Harbour, NS. Margo was a kind and faithful mother, sister, grandmother, and friend who loved her family and friends with every ounce of her being.
Survived by her children, Dean (Jenny) Pleasant Valley, their children, Ryan (Elizabeth), Jenna (Jeremy), Jillian and Analeigh; Ron (Jonathan) Ketch Harbour, Crystal (John) MacNeil, Lantz, and their children, Joel and Justin. She is also survived by siblings, Jackie (France), Earl (Sandra), Maureen (Art, deceased) Carr, Frannie (Bob, deceased) Gougeon, Cathy (Barry) Smith and Denise (Jack) Golden. She was predeceased by siblings, Ron, Donnie, Hughie, Coline, and the father of her children, Roderick.
Margo enjoyed all the simple things in life like walks on the beach to collect Seaglass, her time spent with her beloved children and grandchildren, watching all the little birds enjoy her many bird feeders, dinner parties at Bernice’s with her many cherished friends and good glass of Chardonnay.
Dear Margo, we will miss your quiet presence and fabulous wit. We can’t believe that we will no longer hear your sweet “Hellooo” as you walk through the door. Special thanks to Dr. Caitlin Lees, Claire and especially Monica for their compassion and care during Mom's illness. The stars are aligned.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time. Donations in Margo’s memory can be made to St. Martha’s Regional Hospital or Kids first family resource center Antigonish.
