Obituary of Vivian Leona MacInnis

It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Vivian MacInnis of Halifax at 93, July 30th 2021 in Hubbards, Nova Scotia, after a brief illness. Vivian was comforted, supported and loved the last weeks of her life by her three children, their spouses and her sister Patricia and her children.

Vivian was born in Queensport, Nova Scotia, the daughter of Elizabeth Snyder and Osborne George. Vivian was the Cherished Mother of her daughter Patricia (Andy Onorato) of Dollard-des-Ormeaux, Quebec, her son John (Clair) of Hubbards, Nova Scotia and her son Roland of Edmonton, Alberta. Vivian was a Much Loved Nana to her Grandchildren  Lisa (Bruce Priebe), Joseph Onorato (Emily Cole), Ken MacInnis (Jessica), Andrew MacInnis (Tina) , Bruce MacInnis, and Timothy MacInnis (Christine) Vivian (Nanny) was the Proud Great Grandmother of Oliver and Violet Priebe, Jack and Noah MacInnis, Mason, Evrett and Reed MacInnis. She was predeceased by her husband John (Jack) in 1994, her sisters, Verena Dobson, Helen Perrin and Pearl Harber . Vivian is survived by step siblings Joan George, Gloria Greene, Patricia Langille, Elizabeth Cole, John Snyder and their families. Vivian will be remembered fondly by her nieces, nephews, and cousins and their families across Canada and the US. 

A special thank you to Clair with the Palliative Care Team, the Continuing Care Team and the VON for their support and compassion. They all made it possible for our Mother to pass away at home in the care of her family.

There will be a private graveside service for family for the interment of ashes of Vivian and John MacInnis at a later date. In lieu of flowers,  donations to the VON  https://www.von.ca  (Greater Halifax) or a charity of your choice would be appreciated.
