Obituary of William G. Soper

83, Hubley, passed away peacefully , surrounded with love,  on October 5, 2022 at the QEII Halifax Infirmary. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Edward and Mary (Carr) Soper. 
 
He loved exploring history, taking several trips overseas, with his latest to Britain in 2017 with his daughter. He enjoyed golfing whenever he could and socializing with his co-workers from the pipe shop at DND, where he worked for several years.
 
William is survived by his children, Tammy (Tom) Askins and Bill (Heather) Soper; grandchildren, Taylor Soper and Jessica Hughes-Soper; great granddaughter, Riley Clements; brothers, Ted (Anne) and John, Phillip(Susan)Payne; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brother, Jim.
Special thanks to the staff of the QEII HI for their compassionate care and support, shown to both William and his family. 
 
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of William’s life will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022, from 2pm to 4pm at Maritime Cremation Centre, 67 Temple Terrace, Lower Sackville. Donations in his memory may be made to SPCA or charity of your choice.
