Barb and Hayleigh I am so so sad to read this! Sending you both our sincere condolences and lots of hugs. Andrew was such a wonderful Dad and husband, good guy and talented at many things (remembering all the DIY in your house on Cedarwood). Please know we are thinking of you at this difficult time.

I first met Andrew in 1974 when we started in the same class at secondary school. He was one of the first people in our class to have an electronic calculator (a Casio FX-29). He taught me to swim breaststroke so I at least didn’t drown in the school pool. He was one of the first people I remember learning to drive. When I left school and moved to London we kept in touch for many years by letter, even after he moved to Canada. Sadly with the advent of email and social media messages became less frequent. So I was very touched to receive a message from him recently to let me know of his condition, and remembered again his friendship over half a century. I am thankful to have known him as a friend and have shed a few tears this week. Barbara and Hayleigh, you have been very much in my prayers. May you know comfort in the days ahead. Andrew, my friend, May you rest in peace.

I worked with Andrew at NS Power for a number of years (I was a security vendor and he was the customer). Enjoyed all our interactions, his dry wit/sense of humour, his pragmatic approach to work life, and our lunch meetings that the Bicycle Thief. So sorry for your loss, but thankful that the memories will last forever.
Chris Covey.

Dear Barb and Hayleigh,
We will be thinking of you tomorrow and certainly with you in spirit as you celebrate Andrew’s life. Andrew made use of his DIY skills many times, assisting Mom and Dad in Saint John, and I am forever thankful for all the help you, Barb, and Andrew gave them. With our love and sincere sympathy, Marilyn and David

To say that Andrew was outstanding in his field is an understatement. I was shocked and saddened to read of his sudden passing after recently, having coffee and talking about the future with him. Having known Andrew for over 20 years he will be remembered as a customer for many years but more importantly someone I called my friend. My thoughts and prayers are with his family in these difficult times.

Andrew was my coworker and ended up being my boss at Bell Aliant, but in truth was a good buddy. We shared many laughs along the way. He was a great person!

I met Andrew for the first time at Bell Aliant, when my manager introduced us. My task? Teaching him script writing on Unix systems. And boy, did he take to it like a duck to water! On that first encounter, I remember asking him if he preferred being called Andy. His response? "Oh God, please no!" So, Andrew it was, and Andrew it stayed. Our connection didn't stop at work. We became good buddies, sharing meals, swapping stories, tearing up the trails on our mountain bikes, and gliding through many rivers and lakes in our kayaks. Andrew, rest easy, my friend. It was a pleasure to have known you.
