To Kevin and Karen's children and grandchildren - I worked very briefly with Karen. She was a lovely and unique person, who was almost always smiling. In our various conversations, her love of her family was evident.
Sending wishes of peace, during this very difficult time. There is no timeline on grief. Rely on each other, share her memories.
Deepest condolences, Theresa Babin

Deepest sympathies to Kevin and the Family. Karen and I go from St. Joes to St. Pats High. We shared February birthdays and lots of chats throughout the years. Last time I saw Karen was at a wake for Sister Michael Mary, aka Sister Ann Fleming at the Mount and we laughed about all the school reunions we had. I will miss our chats and think of you always. I treasure the friendship we had and I’m happy you are at peace with your Mum, Dad, and our Heavenly Father. Rest easy girlfriend. We will Karaoke again one day. Love always..

Alvin and Wanda Lawrence send our sincere condolences to you Kevin, Chris, Melissa, grand children and siblings at this time of sorrow. Karen was the first kid to come and introduce herself to me when I entered St. Joseph's in Grade 8. The next thing I knew she was taking me to meet her parents, after school. We have been friends ever since some 48 years. Karen you have touched my heart so deeply and I will be ever grateful for our friendship. All the conversations and dinners. You were also the first friend to call when my Mom passed saying simply. I know how hard this is Wan, so we're going out to dinner next week to talk. So many good memories I will forever cherish like those Youth Club Dance A Thons at St. Joeseph's. we danced so hard doing the Bump one night we both had bruises on our hips. Our saying, when parting was "I love you girl". Well " I love you girl!" Rest now and enjoy Heaven surrounded by love. I'll meet you over there once again someday. Family may God's comfort and peace be with you now. Love you all. Alvin and Wanda Lawrence

Dear Kevin and family. Was heartbroken to hear of Karen’s passing. I have many fond memories dancing and singing with Karen. None more fun than a deck opening party at The Fleet club with April Wine playing. We were up dancing on chairs when she said....I’m going to pay for this tomorrow but it’s too much fun to stop. We had the best night ever. Sending thoughts and prayers your way. A bright light gone way too soon.

I met Karen back in 1993 while living in the Co-op. We immediately became fast friends and shared many, many adventures and good times. We enjoyed many strawberry daiquiris and party times in our younger years. We were both raising children as single parents and our shared experiences brought us close. As our children grew, and our lives progressed, our friendship continued to evolve over the years.
I will miss you my dear friend, but take solace in knowing you are in a place where there is no more pain. My condolences to Kevin, Melissa and Chris. May your memories of Karen comfort you in this difficult time.
