Oh Dad... my soul and whole world are shattered. I love you and miss you so much it hurts. You fought such an inspirational battle against that stupid cancer to stay with us and I'm so sorry we couldn't make that happen together. This was not how things were supposed to end. So much that you'll miss out on... that we'll miss out on together... there are just no words.
Thank you for being my "DeeDee" ♡

Dear Liz and family,
Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of your David. He was a remarkable son, brother, husband, dad, grandfather and friend. I myself was privileged to have met this jewel of a man in 1974 when my family moved to Stewiacke from PEI. We went to high school together. Dave was already a Bagpiper with the army reserve unit in nearby Truro and I had some earlier snare drumming experience with the air cadets. He somehow conned me to tag along one training night at the Truro Armoury. That was the start of us spending many happy years together in 3 different Pipe Bands over the decades (1NS Highlanders Pipes&Drums, Clan Farquharson P&D and 12 Wing Shearwater P&D). Your David was a well regarded, strong, high calibre Piper and a great bandmate to all. Outside of work and band life, we also managed to squeeze in a few rather memorable "Camping Excursions" armed with pitch forks and shovels for digging world famous Five Islands Clams. I will cherish those precious pipeband and steamed clam memories forever. He was a good man. God bless his soul. When this covid pandemic fades away, we will touch base Liz and pop down for a visit.
Regards
Brian & Cindy.
Xoxo.

Dear Elizabeth:
I want to express our heartfelt sympathy to you, Shannon and Michael on David's passing. I was stunned to read about it in this morning's paper. My mind immediately went to the many group lunches we had at Fan's and Swiss Chalet. I especially remember the weekend you and David visited us in Hubbards, with your boat. It is the memories of time spent together that will help you all through this very difficult time. Again Susan and I are thinking of you all.
Sincerely Susan and Bill McCann

Hi Liz, Shannon, and Michael. Hope your prayers are answered. I cannot help but remember the time Dave brought the bagpipes over New Years Eve. He for sure danced to his own drum beat. He will be missed.

Wishing you were here and although I know you knew just have to pop a note to remind you how much I love and miss you. Thank you for our life together. Although not always smiles and sunshine I wouldn't change a thing. Really hoping you find that perfect spot in heaven for us we talked about. Remember to clarify we want ocean breeze when you are telling them you like it hot. Until we meet again! PS..in the meantime leave some signs...dimes or feathers in the least likely places, "our song" on the radio from time to time, a bird that lingers long enough I know it's you and, if you can, dim the lights for a few seconds at family gatherings to let us know you're there. xx
