When Carmella & West would come down.we would get a Family Crib game going & we all had a good time we were glad to see other family members & catch up on how things were going in our Families. & yes there was winner's & Looser but just for bragging rights. Westley always had a way of shoveling his cards Like he was in a big pocker game .we always got a charge from that .he was such a gentleman. & easy-going & yes he liked to win also .Westley well be Sadly missed by us all.

A favorite memory I have is when we were visiting up in Halifax when the astronauts landed on the moon. I remember you telling me, they found a moon bunny! You were so convincing! You will always be remembered, loved, and missed, Uncle Wesley. Love, your niece, Jean

My deepest and sincerest condolences to Wes' family. When it is said that Wes lived in north end Halifax, it was on the corner of Cunard Court and Proctor Streets to be exact. How does he know this you asked? Because for a few years of my life I lived there as well. Wesley, Doug Chiasson and myself were somewhat inseparable at the time. But I moved away and we all sort of lost touch. Those times bring back very good memories although nobody had too many material things. May I close with:
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning,
We will remember them.
God bless.......................

To Lori and family. I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved Dad. Having grown up with Lori and having many sleepovers with your family, I was always struck by how calm, kind and nurturing your dad was with his kids and all of their friends. It was such a safe and happy place to be. I hope the happy memories you have of your father will help soften the pain of grief. My heartfelt condolences.

Dad, you always made us feel loved and protected.
As a child, you'd play in the snow with us, even though it created more work for you to shovel later. You spent hours helping me with school work, especially in your favorite subject math. You taught us how to be independent, how to swim and play chess as you felt these were important lessons.
You passed on your love of adventure and the outdoors, doing the simple things. You never let me forget our ONE run together, leaving me in your dust :)
As I got older, you were there to drop me off and pick me up from university, supporting me through some tough years. You loved learning and hearing about the courses I was taking and you encouraged me to never give up. Although I started out pursuing engineering for you dad, I know you took pride in me making the change to social work and taught me about labor rights, social justice and acceptance of others.
While working at Second Cup, to help get me through university, you would always help me grind coffee bright and early. It became a tradition to bring you home your favorite coffee beans.
When I moved back home from Calgary, I knew I didn't want to do that long drive alone, and I knew just who to call. You came up early to first spend some time with Jim and I in the mountains.
It warmed my heart how well you got along with Jim. The two of you were completely in sync, rowing his boat across many a harbor.
Then when the boys came along, they adored you and you them. On long hikes, you'd listen to Joey gab for hours and stay by his side. You'd watch over Max and were amazed at his calmness.
Dad, it has been a difficult few years, but we never stopped loving you. I am relieved you no longer have to endure this painful disease.
Thanks for all the wonderful memories and adventures! XO

I had the pleasure of spending my childhood with Wesley and Carmella as they watched over myself and my 3 other siblings while our parents worked. He was always entertained my curious mind by teaching me anything he was doing around the house, from working in the garage on his Volkswagens, how to fish in the bedford basin, how to read a compass and map, how to play chest and how to bring him an iced cold olands. He was an amazing, intelligent and caring man, who I will always hold close to my heart. Love you always, squirt.

My father taught me how to live a good life, he taught me how to experience life, he taught me how to take care of life, and how to cherish the life we’ve been given. I don’t know what more a father could teach his girl. I will forever remember your grin and wink dad. It will follow me through everything I do. And just so you know, I’ve captured your King…
