I'm so sorry to hear of Betty's passing. She was such a nice person and I remember the games of scrabble with us kids. Her generation was definitely the masters of the Chronical Herald crossword puzzle and the other puzzles of the comic page! My heartfelt condolences to her family. Jimmy

Your Mom came into our lives when Jen was a bit over a year old. Betty immediately fit into our family and was there on January 19, 1986, when Jeffrey came home. Mind you, we had no power on Jubilee Rd. My dad picked your mom up and Betty, my dad and mom, waited to welcome us all to their home on Walnut St., with a 19 day old little boy. During the years to follow, many holidays, birthdays, church teas and visits to Crousetown followed. After moving to Truro, your Mom’s home and door was always open to us. Her kindness and loving nature, with a little spicy talk now and then, will never be forgotten. Jen and Jeff considered your Mom a grandmother and I thought of her as a friend. Thirty- nine years passed all too quickly. Myself, Jen and Jeff send our sincere condolences to all your families as your broken hearts mend. Never forgotten, always missed.

Rebecca, Jeffrey and family,
Our heartfelt sympathy to you all! I have so many fond memories of my childhood being spent with you all! Betty was so kind and caring and I always loved hearing her ghost stories about the home place. There are just so many memories! I can still see her standing in the kitchen and Jeffrey cooking popcorn on the old wood stove, while us kids played cards! I sincerely regret not having stopped in to see Betty, but know in my heart those memories I will cherish forever! Thinking of you all during this difficult time.
