Harry Randolph “Jerry” Rewega

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Harry Randolph Rewega at the age of 74. Born October 9, 1949 in Sudbury Ontario, passed December 28, 2023 at home. He was the son of the late Peter and Mae Rewega. 

Jerry served 27 years in the Royal Canadian Navy as a weapons Technician (Gunner) CPO 1st Class. After retirement he worked for the Chronicle Herald then Moirs Chocolate Factory in Dartmouth. He was a long-standing member of the Royal Canadian Legion Calais Branch 162 for 29 years where he held many positions; played on the Legion’s ball, curling and dart leagues and was a master at playing the spoons. 

Survived by his wife, Robin of 37 years, together 42; son, Jason Rewega (Sheila); stepdaughter, Christina Everett; stepson, Jason Everett; grandson, Darius; granddaughters, Mae-Lynne and CJ; brothers, Danny and Jerry (Nancy); sister, Rita (Mike). He was predeceased by his parents and brother, Glen.

Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date, date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion Poppy Fund.
