Krys and my brother put up with me living with them for 4 years. Does that begin to show who Krys was? She was beautiful, kind, patient, extremely generous, thoughtful, and funny. She was there for me during many difficult times. I called her and she was there with whatever I needed. We both didn't like to text, so then she'd call. We talked for hours especially when I lived with them, sometimes well into the late hours of the evening. We'd say we have to go and next thing we're there talking again for another 15/20 minutes or more! You were the best Krys, my whole family loved you, especially my mom! She never forgot the kindness you, and your parents showed her when she visited. My mom used to get such a kick out of you trying to say something in Maltese to her! My heart breaks along with that of your kids, their families, your sister and her family! May you rest in peace. I will miss you terribly and remember fondly the good times we had together! Love you forever, Nelly

To my dear friend and cousin. I’m finding it so hard to deal with your passing. We had a wonderful conversation during Christmas. Every time we spoke it was like we just talked the day before. We spent many good times together that I will never forget. One of the most memorable was spending half of your honeymoon at my home along with your mother in law and father in law. Not many people can say that. Please know that you will be missed by all especially me. My kids loved you and always thought you were fun. You are leaving quite a legacy behind. My sincerest condolences to the family. I worked with Krys in Hamilton, about 10 years ago now and will never forget her. She was incredibly kind, super thoughtful and had a sense of humour like no other- lots of laughs with her. She was a wonderful woman and I will always remember her!

Krys, you will be missed by your family here in the USA. So many fond memories of you but none top you eating a whole apple core, seeds and all, because you lost a bet that I couldn’t finish a huge sundae when I was young. That’s exactly the person you were, fun and a bit crazy. Rest in peace Krys, until we meet again!
